Mysuru Palace is the most iconic landmark in Mysuru and one of the most visited royal palaces in India. Built in the magnificent Indo-Saracenic architectural style, the palace combines Hindu, Rajput, Mughal, Gothic, and Islamic design elements. It served as the royal residence of the Wadiyar dynasty, who ruled the Kingdom of Mysore for centuries.

The current palace was constructed between 1897 and 1912 after the original wooden palace was destroyed by fire. Designed by renowned British architect Henry Irwin, the palace features grand domes, intricately carved wooden doors, stained-glass ceilings, marble floors, royal paintings, and beautifully decorated halls including the famous Durbar Hall and Kalyana Mantapa (Marriage Pavilion).
