Visas We advice foreigners to carry visas for entry to India/Karnataka on your holiday. For clarifications contact, The Indian High Commission, for visa Extension, contact office of the Commissioners of Police, Bangalore. Ph:2260707.
 
Money There is no limit to the amount of foreign Currency that visitors can bring.
 
Banks Banks are open for transaction from 10.00-14.00hrs. except Saturdays (10.00-12.00hrs). However, certain private sector banks operate till 7p.m. six days a week. Almost all banks have 24-hrs Atm's.
 
Credit Cards Most hotels, restaurants, and shopping centers accept major credit cards.
 
Currency Indian Rupee-Conversion rates as on 25th November 2002-usd-Rs48.50;Euro=Rs.48.50,Pound sterling=Rs.76.50.
